One of the world’s most serious problems is the disappearance of children, but the technology promises to facilitate unexpected reencounters. PhotoMC (Photo Missing Children). was developed in China and aims to help families find missing children through facial recognition.
Based on the Microsoft Face API; the platform is able to identify features and determine the likelihood of two facial images belonging to the same person. To do this, PhotoMC does a deep search on a database of thousands of faces, providing a list of possible registered people.
According to the developers, the API looks at 27 different facial features, allowing one person to recognize different pictures taken at different angles and facial expressions. Thanks to the technology developed; so far five children have already been found through PhotoMc. See more, click here.
